I created this website just to show a little bit of myself, the real purpose of this domain is to give me a cool e-mail address.
I will use this however to show the world a lttle bit about myself.
I have many hobbies and things that interest me. I am passionate about photography, but unfortunately I do not have enough time and money to fully indulge myself in creating the images that I see in my mind. I am also a radio amateur with the callsign of ZR6RO, but for tha same reasons as above I am inactive at the moment.
Time permitting I like to tinker around with small DIY projects, and have an interest in electronics and IT. I have been around PC's since I bought my own PC/AT in the 80's and I worked on AutoCAD since Ver 2.15. For relaxation I play guitar.
I work for WSP as a CAD Manager, concentrating on training and BIM coordination.
My Philosophy
I am a Christian, and I believe treating people as I like to be treated.
My Family, including the 3 four legged family members are very important to me. Now that my daughters are married I have a new extended family, and nothing pleases me more than spending time with all of them.
South Africa.
My country is important to me, I am very patriotic, but the current goverment is doing much to embarrass me and many like me. I embraced the "New" South Africa but I am afraid that our president and his cronies only look after themselves. Today, 18 April 2015 our own citizens are murdering foreigners and our security forces are powerless to do anything about it.
My Family
I am Roelie Oelofse
I am the youngest son of Andries "Oelie" Oelofse, and Susan Oelofse neé Grobler. My brothers André and Pieter have both passed away. I have two daughters, Lorinda and Rozanne which have recently married.
I have three dogs, Chuck the Jack Russel, Buddy the Beagle and Joey the Amstaff.
